Vinyl fence installation is the request that has grown fastest for us, and the reason is simple. It costs more the day it goes in and close to nothing to own after that. No sealing, no staining, no replacing a board that cupped. Our profiles are made by Catalyst in Tennessee, Bartow and Plant City, with titanium dioxide as a UV inhibitor, which is why a white fence stays white instead of going yellow after three Florida summers.
We do not sell imported vinyl. That is the thin product that fades, chalks and cracks, and it makes up most of what we end up tearing out two to five years after somebody else installed it. What vinyl fence styles do you install?
Full privacy, semi privacy, ranch rail, picket, lattice top and crossbuck, in white and the tan and grey ranges.
Full privacy panels are the bulk of it, usually six feet, usually white, usually going in between two back to back lots where somebody wants their yard back. Semi privacy leaves a gap between the boards so air moves through, which matters more than people expect on a lot that catches wind off a pond. Lattice top gets used where a city caps solid height but allows more if the top section stays open, and our fence company in Sanford page explains that rule in detail because Sanford is where it comes up most.
Ranch rail and crossbuck run two, three and four rail on acreage and along driveways. Post caps, gate hardware and colors are all choices you make at the counter rather than off a screen. If your HOA handed you a spec sheet, bring it in and hold it against a real panel. That takes about five minutes and it is the most common reason an approval comes back.
Does vinyl fencing hold up in the Florida sun?
Good vinyl does. Cheap vinyl does not, and the difference is the UV package and the wall thickness.
Titanium dioxide is the UV inhibitor doing the work. Without enough of it the surface chalks, the white shifts yellow, and the panel goes brittle. Brittle is the part that matters, because a properly extruded panel flexes in wind and a brittle one cracks. On many systems the panels can pop out of the rail under extreme load and go back in afterward, which is a feature rather than a failure.
What actually decides the outcome in a storm is the posts. Depth, spacing, and whether the installer used the manufacturer's specified post for that panel height. We set posts in concrete at two to three feet depending on the fence. Get that part right and you straighten a fence in an afternoon. Get it wrong and you replace it.

If they cannot tell you, that is your answer.
Is a vinyl fence worth it over wood?
It depends entirely on how long you are staying. Vinyl costs more the day it goes in and close to nothing to own after that, because it does not need sealing, staining or board replacement. Wood is cheaper up front and then asks for maintenance for the rest of its life. Somewhere around the ten year mark the two lines cross. If you are selling in three years, wood usually wins on paper. If you are staying fifteen, the vinyl fence is the cheaper one by the end and you will not have touched it.
