See Before You Buy: Recent Fence Installations Across Sanford and Central Florida

· by Joe Hamilton · 4 min read

Newly installed black aluminum fence and matching gate surround a landscaped front yard with a curved paver walkway.

The best way to judge a fence company is to look at fences they have already built. Finished projects show you the post lines, the gates, and the details that a brochure or a sales pitch never will.

That is why we share our work openly. Once you have seen what we build, reach out to our team or call (407) 593-1888 to talk about your yard.

What kinds of fence installations can you see in our recent projects?

Our recent projects cover the four fence types Central Florida homeowners ask about most: wood, vinyl, aluminum, and chain link. Each one fits a different goal, budget, and look.

Wood privacy fences give a warm, natural finish and full backyard privacy. Vinyl offers that same privacy with far less upkeep, which is why it shows up so often in newer neighborhoods. Aluminum works well around pools and front yards where you want security without blocking the view.

Chain link is the practical choice for large lots, pets, and budget-friendly perimeter fencing. Done well, it is straight, tight, and clean, not saggy and crooked.

Sanford has everything from historic homes near First Street downtown to larger lots on the edges of town. Seeing a range of finished fences helps you match the style to the character of your own home.

What should you look for in clean post lines and gate hardware?

Look for posts that stand perfectly straight and evenly spaced, with the top of the fence following a smooth, consistent line. Gates should hang level, close without dragging, and latch on the first try.

Post lines tell you a lot about a crew. Wavy tops or posts leaning in different directions usually point to rushed layout or shallow footings. A straight run means someone took the time to set string lines and check every post.

Gate hardware is where cheaper jobs show their weak spots. Sturdy hinges, a quality latch, and a gate frame that does not sag after a few months make a big difference in daily use.

In homes near Lake Monroe, where humidity and lake breezes are part of daily life, rust-resistant hardware matters even more. Look closely at hinges and latches in project photos, not just the panels.

How were sloped and uneven yards handled?

Sloped yards are handled with either stepped panels, which drop in even stairs down the hill, or racked panels, which follow the angle of the ground. The right choice depends on the fence type and how steep the slope is.

A guy looked through our gallery and loved one of the fences he saw, but he figured it would not look right in his yard because of a wicked slope. We showed him photos of that same fence in a yard with a similar shape, which helped him picture the look on his own lawn.

Uneven ground also affects gaps at the bottom of the fence. A good installer closes those gaps so pets cannot slip under and the line still looks intentional from the street.

Sanford's older neighborhoods, built in the days when it was known as the Celery City, often have yards that have settled unevenly over the decades. Those yards take careful planning to get a clean result.

How can you picture the same result at your address?

Start by finding a project in our gallery that matches your yard's size, slope, or style. Then book an estimate, and we will walk your property and show you how that same fence would fit your space.

During the visit, we measure the fence line, check for slopes and gate locations, and talk about HOA rules if you have them. If you like a fence you saw in our photos, show it to us, and we will explain what it would take to build it at your home.

As a local Sanford fence company, we build fences across Seminole County and Central Florida, so there is a good chance we have handled a yard a lot like yours.
